Open House & Ribbon Cutting: January 25

 

We hope you will join us in LEAD VIRGINIA's new home at our open house and ribbon cutting on Monday, January 25, 2010.  The open house will begin with the ribbon cutting at 4:00PM and a reception with refreshments will follow.  If you are able to attend please RSVP to Amanda Keller at 804.644.5323 or akeller@leadva.org.

LEAD VIRGINIA is pleased to support Chamber Day at the Capitol each year when business and community representatives across Virginia visit Richmond and talk with their state elected representatives.  For more information and to register visit the Virginia Chamber of Commerce website.

Class of 2010 Opening Luncheon

 

The 2010 Williamsburg Opening Luncheon will be on Thursday, April 15, 2010 and everyone is invited to join us in welcoming the Class of 2010 and renewing ties with fellow LEAD VIRGINIA alumni!  Please mark your calendars now.  Keynote speaker and registration details to follow. 

 

Good Things To Know:

 

Each year the Commonwealth recognizes groups and individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to serving their communities. The 2010 Governor's Volunteerism and Community Service Awards will be presented in several categories, including youth, senior, faith-based, family, community organization, and business or corporation.
 
Winners will be honored during an awards ceremony in April 2010. The deadline for nominations is 5:00 PM, Monday, February 1. Learn more and nominate someone today at

John Cannon, '07, was appointed by Governor Tim Kaine to serve on the Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission.

Donna Stanley, '07, was re-appointed by Governor Kaine to the Governor's Mined Land Reclamation Advisory Committee.
